What I've Learned in College So Far

  1. You can grind coffee beans with a rolling pin. It's not worth it. But you can. You'll probably give up after, like, three barely successful cups of coffee.

  2. Chocolate syrup at Meijer is near the peanut butter and jelly and shit. I still haven't bought more chocolate syrup since my first trip to Meijer because I only used the chocolate syrup for the coffee.

  3. What GamerGate actually was. I don't remember what it was. But I did know it at some point during this semester.

  4. If something comes with small objects that you don't need, keep them in a drawer if you have the space because they might be useful for something else. For example, if a decoration comes with stuff to mount it even though you're mounting it with something else, keep the mounting stuff.

  5. I am bad at small talk. Horrible. Terrible. Awful. Downright horrendous.

  6. I am 50000% more confident if I'm listening to music. Sucks because I need confidence when I'm talking to people. I physically cannot speak while listening to music. I'll die.

  7. There was a couple whose names were Harry and Margaret who studied apes or some shit. I haven't gotten to the whole Harry and Margaret arc in my Night Court rewatch yet, but, y'know.

  8. "Everything on the exam is on the review quiz" does not mean "If you can get all the questions right on the review quiz you'll get everything right on the exam." You will have to have a full understanding of everything on the review quiz.

  9. I can enjoy my own company. Like, it's super fun to hang out with myself.

  10. Statistically, Frasier slept around more than Roz. I can't remember the context I learned this in.

  11. A rough draft doesn't have to be completely finished from introduction to conclusion. It's literally a rough draft. I always thought I had to have basically a finished but unrevised piece. Just probably don't turn in, like, two paragraphs.

  12. You can wash dishes with two spray bottles. It sucks ass but you can do it

  13. The thing on the wall in the microwave is called a waveguide cover. Do Not Remove It. Surprisingly, I did not learn this the hard way. I wasn't sure if it was

  14. I love binder clips. They are very useful for stuff and things.

Oh, and I'm glad I had to be undecided my first year. I'm questioning the fuck out of the major that felt like fate to me. I might make another post about that.
